Madras Plaid Patterns Unisex Hoody.
EXCLUSIVE OF DESIGN. MADE-TO-ORDER.
From our Luxe collection and Tamil Madras sub-collection. Madras plaid patterns (a WT favorite) originated in Madraspatnam (a small fishing village in Southern India) which is located in the State of Tamil Nadu. In the 1700s, these patterns became favorites of the Ivy Leaguers in America after a donation to the Collegiate School of Connecticut from Elihu Yale who was the governor of Madras, India at the time. The school was later renamed in in his honor.
As you can see, madras have a rich and interesting history. It is the blending of two cultures (British and Indian) that led to the rich plaid we know of today. The Ypsilanti hoody makes great use of this colorful past and uniquely patterned plaids of pink, green and white. This unisex hoody is also oh so comfy and soft on the outside and inside with its brushed fleece lining.
A must-have that you definitely won't find anywhere else. The relaxed fit plus its hefty weight lend itself to being the perfect item for wrapping yourself into on a chilly evening or taking a well-earned slumber. And, the kangaroo pocket will keep your hands warm or store your phone for easy access.
